The image itself is quite fascinating. It seems relatively sharp, yet with a wonderful depth of field that brings in that gorgeous and unique background.
If there is a problem...there is not one with the image itself, but rather the disconnect between the image and the artist's comments. These comments speak of innocence, of happily playing, of not knowing hate or suffering, of knowing only happiness and love. This is not communicated to me in the model's body language. In her pose, there is a sense of defensiveness, of trying to cover up and hide or protect her core, which is a quite closed position, not an open and free one which she'd have were she happy and feeling safe. Her expression and her eyes seem to reflect this as well; there is no comfortable smile but rather almost a pout or frown, at the least a slight down-turning of the corners of her mouth. her eyes seem at the least watchful, if not staring, and are certainly not relaxed.
This is Not to dis either the model or the photographer, the image is beautiful, it just doesn't seem to fit the words underneath...there's almost the sense perhaps that she has just dealt with a first 'bad' event in her life and she suddenly realizes the world, or garden, is not quite as safe as she'd thought.
